"Adam, I'm sorry," Brad muttered as he sat in front of the rabbit.

News travelled quick between the two households, Lambert and Bell. The otter glanced over to Cassidy next to him and somehow felt that he could relate to Adam, he could not imagine not having his leopard by his side.

"We'll grieve for him when the time comes, right now there are more pressing things to account for," Adam said in a monotone manner, ears bent in silent acknowledgement and pain for the loss of his close partner and his lover.

"We have to attack the Backlys tonight," Brad said with determination, "My men are all ready."

"Mine too," Adam glanced to Isaac next to him, the cruel reality of replacement right there, "But I think... we should go separate ways."

Brad frowned slightly.

"I mean, I don't believe Blake is with Steven anymore, I think Blake staying with Steven is just a temporary ruse."

Brad nodded, "I guess that seems more, logical, besides, Steven doesn't share well, so does Blake, right?"

Adam nodded, heart twisting as he spoke again, "Having Tommy again gives another reason for Blake to want to go back 'home'."

"It ends tonight," Adam murmured after, anger swimming in his eyes.

Blake laughed heartedly, tail flicking with pride, "Who knew you would be here again?" He padded over to his bed and leaned over it, "Do you know I missed you?"

Tommy looked up at the tiger, staring with defiance in his eyes.

"Oh, someone doesn't look happy," Blake chuckled, ears folding back, demanding respect.

Tommy remained quiet, not like he could utter a word with the duct tape over his mouth. He remained still as well, not bothering to fight against the cable ties binding his hands behind his back and feet together.

"Seems like you forgot your manners," Blake growled, a hand shooting out and pinching a corner of the grey duct tape. He yanked without warning, pulling a pained shout from Tommy which just sparked his amusement.

"I don't belong to you," Tommy spat, ears perked forward in defiance.

Blake snarled, a hand pinching Tommy's chin, hard. He glared at the black fox for a moment and then his hand slid down to Tommy's chest, fingers circling the eye of Horus pendent.

"So you're Lambert's slut now?" the white tiger growled, tail twitching with anger, "Your ass always needing to be filled? Huh!?"

Tommy remained quiet, knowing that shouting in return will only excite Blake, but leaving the striped Alpha's doubts unanswered will really hit his buttons.

"You fucking answer me!"

"Yes, I'm with Adam now, he shows me love, he takes care of me," Tommy said with affection even though his heart was beating like crazy.

Blake seemed more agitated at the reply, his personal slut speaking about his hated enemy in such tone and manner.

The white tiger buried his hand into Tommy's blonde fringe, fingers curling as he yanked, smiling at the cry that slipped from the fox's lips.

"Kneel for me, bitch," Blake continued pulling Tommy's hair, not loosening his grip one bit until the latter was in the said position.

Tears were already glistering in Tommy's chocolate eyes by the time Blake released his tight grip, it was hard moving from a laid back pose to a kneeling one, but he was not given any choice.

He refused to cry though, he was not giving Blake that pleasure. Tommy blinked his eyes open when the sound of a zipper reached his ears, a gasp escaped him.

"Now put that pretty mouth of yours to proper use."

"We have surrounded Steven's place, seems like he was not expecting us at all tonight."

"That's good," Adam replied into his phone, he and his own people watched Blake's house, "I'm guessing Blake didn't tell Steven about his whole kidnapping idea."

"We will enter quietly but be a firecracker once we are found out, hopefully it causes enough confusion." Brad's voice echoed back with a giggle.

"Sure, have fun," Adam smirked.

Blake ran his hand down Tommy's back, ears twitching with smugness as his fingers felt the scars he had left ages ago. He ignored the coughing echoing from the fox, instead his hand clamped the back of the pale neck and squeezed.

"I'm not through with you yet."

Tommy found himself on his front this time, the new position less stressful for his tied hands but lying like this made him worried and skittish. He kept his body language as calm as possible though, not showing the white tiger any weakness.

His violent coughing continued to push out from his throat, showing how sore it was. The pain did not take his mind off the stains cooling on his face, which only served as a reminder of what just happened.

He froze up when he felt a rough hand grasp his hip. Instinct and past experiences told him to stay still so that the pain would be lesser, but Tommy forced himself to struggle. He knew Blake was power hungry, but during situations like this, the tiger preferred submissive and pliant.

There was no way Tommy was staying still for this, not anymore. He will be strong, Adam was coming to get him... he hoped.

Adam and his team easily got into Blake's mansion. All the men inside were drunk and celebrating Monte's death. The first floor was quickly and quietly cleared with Adam's arsenal of knives and silencers.

There were no serious casualties other than a few cuts, bruises and a couple of dodged bullets. Adam was very proud of his men and women, all efficient and not letting the celebration of Monte's death drag them into blind hatred and overkill.

But that did not mean they did not enjoy the killing spree.

"You guys secure the house," Adam signalled before turning to Isaac, Terrence and Nana, "You three, come with me. Bring your tools."

The painted dog, panther and fennec fox nodded, taking their bags and trailed after the Alpha. The trio walked up the spiral stairway silently, they still had the element of surprise. They went down the short hallway until outside this door where muffled voices were echoing from.

The voice currently sounding from the room was clearly Blake's. The tiger sounded agitated and annoyed.

"Stop moving, you slut!"

"No!" came Tommy's voice after, it was laced with clear stubbornness.

Adam turned to Isaac, ears flicking once. Isaac immediately looked at the door lock and touched it from top to bottom. He turned back to Adam and nodded, ears drooping all the way before shooting up again.

'It's locked.'

Adam's long ears did the same action as Isaac's but drooped again at the end.

'Unlock it.'

Isaac nodded, hands quietly removing some tools from his small bag. As they waited for the painted dog to work, the trio had no choice but listen in on the conversation in the room.

"You defiant little bitch!" Blake's voice exploded with anger, which was followed by a loud smack and cry from Tommy.

"You better stay still now."

"N-Never." Tommy sounded like he was rasping, voice cracking.

And the sound broke Adam's heart, the rabbit looked at Isaac. The canine was clearly working hard, completely focused on unlocking the door.

"What did Lambert do to you!?" Blake cried in frustration.

There was a moment of silence, and then came the white tiger's cold voice again.

"I know... how about this. Become my slut again and Lambert won't die."

"W-What?" the surprise in Tommy's reply was clear as day.

"Stupid fox, all my men are ready to attack Lambert once I give the signal," Blake hissed, "As easy as snapping my fingers, that rabbit won't stand a chance."

"No! D-Don't hurt him!"

A growl could be heard after, "It disgusts me that Lambert touched you, but you still belong to me. I should just end him."

"N-No! Please, I'll do it! I will!"

Short silence followed before it was broken again by Blake. "Really?" his tone laced with smugness.

"Yes..."

The soft sound filled with utter defeat made Adam's stomach drop and the rabbit looked at Isaac again. This time he received a flick of the ears from Isaac, 'Almost.' Adam looked next to him at Nana, he pointed at Nana's shoulder bag and snarled. Then he nodded to Terrence and pointed at Isaac.

Nana smirked, hugging her bag close while Terrence nodded and moved quietly behind Isaac.

A pat on the knee caught Adam's attention, glancing at Isaac to get a firm nod from the painted dog. Adam stood up and hooked his finger, causing Isaac and Nana to stand up as well. He placed his hand on the door handle and pushed down painfully slowly.

Adam wanted nothing more than to rush in, but he did not know of the situation in the room. Blake could all be holding a knife against Tommy's neck. He was not going to risk startling the tiger. The door opened a crack and Adam glanced in.

The sight was not pleasing to Adam at all. His little kit was bound on the bed, face down while Blake was on top on him, those disgusting hands holding Tommy down and touching all over. It made Adam burn on the inside.

He turned to Isaac and jerked his head once before rushing into the room. Blake was clearly taken by surprise as those green eyes shot up wide.

"You!"

Adam and Isaac tackled Blake, pushing the white tiger off the bed and onto the floor, the two easily pinning him down.

"Lambert!" Blake screamed, fighting against Isaac who continued to hold him down, now joined by Terrence.

"Stay put, fucker," Adam growled, moving over to the bed where Nana was snipping off the cable ties on Tommy's wrists and feet.

"A-Adam, you came!" Tommy exclaimed, not hiding the joy in his voice.

Adam wrapped his arms around the small blonde, holding him close as he murmured, "Of course I would, little kit."

Tommy's arms wound around the rabbit's waist, clinging tight and unwilling to let go. He could feel tears building in his eyes, happy tears. He did not even think much when Adam pulled back, until he felt a large hand cup his jaw carefully and concern was clear in Adam's eyes.

"Guess I wasn't fast enough," Adam murmured under his breath, thumb feeling the red mark right below Tommy's left eye, it was definitely going bruise. Adam also spied the other mark on the black fox's right cheek. But what really made the Alpha's blood boil was the white 'stains' scattered across Tommy's face, the droplets still moist.

Adam immediately snatched up the blanket at the corner of the bed and wiped Tommy's cheeks as gently as he could, but he knew his hands were shaking with hot anger.

Tommy shut his eyes, a soft mutter of apology leaving his lips. He blinked his eyes open again when he felt a gentle tap on the nose. He could see Adam looking at him, blue-grey eyes showing warmth.

"Don't apologize, kit, it's not your fault," Adam said, pressing his lips on Tommy's forehead. "But we do have something to deal with now, don't we?"

Adam petted Tommy on the head once before turning to Blake, who was still on the floor, now panting heavily from trying to get Isaac and Terrence off him.

"You will not get away with this!" the white tiger spat, a growl mixing in.

"I don't like playing with you anymore, Barkly," Adam snarled in return, "Correction, I never liked playing with you. Already gave you too many chances."

"Fuck you, Lambert!"

"Honestly, I would personally be your end," Adam started, kneeling next to Blake. "But I don't have time to waste on things like you anymore," the rabbit ended harshly, petting the other's cheek hardly with smacks echoing in the room.

"But I'm sure my friend here would love to play with you," Adam stood up and beckoned Nana over.

The fennec was grinning wide like a Cheshire cat as she skipped to Blake's side. "I've always wanted to do this!" she said with sickening enthusiasm in her voice.

"Then I will leave it to you, Nana," Adam waved his hand, making his way back to Tommy's side, "Have all the fun you want, you have until tomorrow night before my pyromaniac side wakes up."

Nana clapped her hand in joy, unzipping her LV shoulder bag to reveal tools ranging from the humble screwdriver to shiny pliers. They looked so innocent and household-like but accompanied with the massive grin on Nana's face, Blake visibly paled.

Adam easily scooped Tommy up, and began walking out the door. Smirking as screams and protests from Blake echoed behind him.

Everyone had already gathered near the front door when Adam came down with Tommy tucked against him. They were still focused and disciplined but clearly vibrating with a happy aura as seeing Tommy alive and breathing.

Adam's ears flicked twice as he left, letting the others know that they did a good job and soon it would all be officially over. The rabbit finally allowed himself a sigh when he was walking to his car, he had Tommy again and it felt so right and perfect.

"Adam," Tommy's voice was soft and somewhat uncertain.

"Hmm?" Adam hummed as he continued walking to his car.

"I... I can walk, you don't have to carry me."

"I want to, Tommy."

Tommy nodded, cheeks flushing pink and taking the chance to snuggle closer against the rabbit.

"Thank you... for saving me."

Adam just grinned and shifted Tommy to one arm as he opened the car door. He carefully placed the black fox into the passenger seat and even buckled the seatbelt before closing the door. He quickly slid into the driver seat by Tommy's side and started the engine.

The ride back to Adam's place was silent and very peaceful. The Alpha's phone had not rung once since the attack to Blake's house but it did not bother Adam, silence only meant that Brad was doing a great job with Steven. Usually it's ringing that meant trouble. He would give Brad a call later to see how things went, right now, all he could think about was to get Tommy home, give Sutan a text and then cuddle the little fox to sleep.

"Are you okay?" Adam broke the silence when he had arrived back to his house.

"No," Tommy shook his head, "I was worried... that Blake would really hurt you."

Adam smiled, turning the wheel to start parking the car.

"I heard, you know."

"W-What?"

"I heard... your talk with Blake, the part about him killing me and all," Adam switched off the vehicle engine and turned to Tommy, "You're so brave, little kit, and I'm so proud of you."

Tommy found himself flushing up again, eyes glancing at Adam sheepishly, "Well, you showed me how to be brave."

Adam gently pinched Tommy's chin and leaned close to the fox, his voice low as he spoke, "And I found myself loving you impossibly more." He gently pressed his lips against Tommy's, his long ears bending to stroke the other's triangular ones.

Tommy timidly pushed back, tail thumping softly against the car door behind him. His hands gripped the leather seat tightly, and ears twitched against the feeling of Adam's caresses. He was panting softly and eyes half lidded when Adam pulled back.

"He's never going to hurt you again," Adam murmured, "No one ever will."

Adam stroked Tommy's heated cheek, giving a soft smile before exiting the car. He wanted to help his little kit out but Tommy was already shutting the door by the time he got to the other side.

"You should've waited for me," Adam said with a chuckle. Not letting the black fox reply, he scooped him up again, earning a gasp.

"A-Adam."

"Please... let me."

Tommy flushed, hiding his face in the rabbit's shoulder. The house was mostly empty but still had several people, acting like security while Adam and his men left. They already knew of their Alpha's success and did not come rushing at him when they spotted him and Tommy.

Adam went right to his bedroom, only letting Tommy go onto his bed.

"Do you want to shower?" the rabbit asked, "I'll run you a bath."

Tommy nodded, wanting so bad to wash away all the dirt on him. It was as if he could still feel Blake's touch, it made him feel sick. He watched Adam disappear into the bathroom, his ears picking up telltale sounds of running water.

Adam came back out quickly, a warm smile on his face. The rabbit guided Tommy to the bathroom, finally letting the fox walk on his own two feet. He was more than happy to continue caring for Tommy, but he also did not want to smother the fox, especially after what happened, Tommy's fears renewed tonight.

Adam silenced himself from asking to help Tommy take off his clothes. Instead, he said, "I'll leave you be then."

Tommy turned from the filling tub to Adam, sadness burned his eyes. Did Adam not want to see anymore of his skin? The thought was irrational, completely unreasonable, Tommy knew as much. But it still stuck to his mind, the fear of losing his loved one very much real.

Adam gasped as he watched Tommy hid his face into curled hands, his small frame starting to shake. "T-Tommy, what's wrong? Are you hurt?" the rabbit was quick to return to the fox's side, hands cautiously holding the latter close.

"I just... I-It's nothing," Tommy hiccupped, rubbing the uncontrollable tears slipping from his eyes.

"Tell me, please," Adam palmed the fox's cheeks gently.

"It's dumb," Tommy murmured softly, "D-Do you still love me? Will you still t-touch me? ...After what happened," the fox hiccupped again.

"Sweetheart, I was thinking I'm touching you too much," Adam frowned sympathetically, "I'll be around as long as you want me."

Tommy flushed under his tears, tail twitching slightly in a timid wag. "I'm sorry..."

"None of that now, it's not your fault," Adam pressed his lips against Tommy's forehead. "Want me to wash you?"

Tommy's darkened blush was a clear enough answer, bringing a smile to his face. He would be looking forward to tomorrow, his 'worst' rival was gone, he had gained a great friend/ally and now he had his other half.

Neither of them was perfect. But with the obstacles out of the way, Adam could now focus on what he neglected for so long, his heart.
